Colorado CASA Hires Former Urban Peak Leader as New State Executive Director
Colorado CASA proudly announces the appointment of Alicia Economos as the new State Executive Director. Economos, former head of development at Urban Peak, will be instrumental in advocating and raising awareness for programs across the state that assist youth that have experienced abuse or neglect.
“With over 25 years of experience in nonprofit, marketing and media, Alicia will truly raise the bar on awareness and fundraising for CASA,” says Megan Kilpatrick, Colorado CASA board chair. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her join us as state Executive Director.”
Economos has raised over $39 million for Urban Peak, contributed to the improvement of K-12 public education at KIPP Colorado Schools, and built a foundation in media through her work with 9News, The Rocky Mountain News, and Univision Colorado. In her new role, she will be responsible for supporting the work of CASA’s 19 local programs, strengthening relationships with state legislators, and engaging Colorado’s philanthropic community to champion the mission of CASA volunteers and local organizations.
